One referendum exit poll’s data

Students conducted an exit poll on 15 February with professional input from experienced pollsters and data analysts.

Exit data was obtained from 14,850 samples at 175 voting centers nationally, with two cuts:

1:00 p.m. = No 52.0%

5:30 p.m. = No 53.1%

Probability the final vote tally actually was greater than 50% = 99.3%.

But Chavez won by about 10%.

Go figure.

I could not agree more, all my life I’ve dealt with statistics,an exact science, however, as it is said, there is always an exception to the rule, go figure. Just been a little sarcastic, and using a simple Poisson distribution rule calculation, 10% split, maybe someone found Harry Potter’s wand.
